Tom Morris, Accompanist
Tom Morris is a versatile musician, performing on piano, keyboards, organ, and percussion. He has worked as a musical director as well as a keyboardist for musicals in Fairfield and Litchfield Counties for over twenty years. Tom also plays the organ at Trinity-Pawling School as the assistant to organist David Baranowski. He is a classically trained pianist and enjoys playing all types of music. Some of the musicals Tom has worked on include, In the Heights, Les Misérables, Be More Chill, Ordinary Days, Ghost Quartet, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Annie, and Dogfight. He can often be heard playing for productions at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, as well as many local high schools and theater companies. In addition to playing keyboards, Tom is an accomplished percussionist and was the principal timpanist for the Danbury Symphony Orchestra for many years. During part of that tenure, he also served as President of the board of directors for the Danbury Music Centre.
Tom studied piano privately for 10 years with Evelyn Dewan and Cynthia Mansfield of Danbury. He also studied percussion at Western Connecticut State University with Dave Smith. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics and spends his days working as a software engineer.
