Tom Morris, Accompanist
Tom Morris is a versatile musician, performing on piano, keyboards, organ, and percussion. He has worked as musical director as well as a keyboardist for musicals in Fairfield and Litchfield Counties over the past twenty years. For the past five years, Tom has played the organ at Trinity-Pawling School as an assistant to organist David Baranowski. Tom is a classically trained pianist and enjoys playing all types of music. Recently, Tom has worked on productions of Annie, In the Heights, Les Misérables, Be More Chill, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Beauty and the Beast, Sweeney Todd, Dogfight, and others. Tom can often be heard playing for productions at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, as well as many local high schools and theater companies. In addition to playing keyboards, Tom is an accomplished percussionist and was the principal timpanist for the Danbury Symphony Orchestra for many years. During that time, he also served as President of the board of directors for the Danbury Music Centre.
Tom studied piano privately for 10 years with Evelyn Dewan and Cynthia Mansfield of Danbury. He also studied percussion at Western Connecticut State University with Dave Smith. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Mathematics and spends his days working as a software engineer.
