Concert Archives with videos and recordings

You can find videos, recordings, photos, programs, posters, and other materials for past concerts in the Concert Archives. There’s a link to the concert archives in the Members Page menu.

The concert archives content is for your personal use and enjoyment only. We’ll publish selected content in the Listen and Gallery sections of our website for the general public.

We have a lot of material, spanning our 50 year history, that we want to add to the concert archives. Please keep looking and be patient; it’s a big project!

Schubert/Haydn Concert Recording 2023

Here is the professional recording of the June 11, 2023 concert.

Here is our “do-it-yourself” recording of the same concert. Decide for yourself, but to my ears it compares pretty well against the professional recording.

In case you’re interested, here are some rehearsal recordings (including Happy Birthday songs!) We made these to try out the recording equipment, but they’re kind of fun to listen to.

(As always, we’re making these recordings available to you, our members, for your private enjoyment only. Please don’t copy them to any streaming services or publish them in any way.)

Concert recordings 2022-23

Here are recordings of recent concerts for your personal enjoyment (please don’t publish or make copies of these recordings). We did not arrange to record the concerts; these recordings were made by a member using their phone.

Winter/Spring rehearsals 2022

Rehearsals for our spring concert begin Wednesday December 4, 2022 at St. Andrew’s Church in Kent CT at our usual rehearsal time of 7:00–9:00 pm.  Rehearsals will be two hours long with a brief break for announcements.

Everyone planning to sing in the spring concert should be at every rehearsal in person except for unavoidable exceptional circumstances such as illness. Anyone missing more than two rehearsals will have to demonstrate adequate preparation to our music director’s satisfaction in order to rejoin rehearsals.

Concert week rehearsals are mandatory. They are critical to developing our final blend and polish for the performance.  Any exceptions to the above will be solely at the discretion of the Music Director.

Wearing masks at rehearsals is encouraged but not mandatory.

Videos of recent concerts

We arranged for our first two concerts in 2022 to be video recorded. We’ll put selections on our website and use them for other promotional purposes. But the best purpose is to let us see, and hear, how we did! (Spoiler alert: we were great!)

(Please note: We’re making these videos available to you, our members, for your private enjoyment only. Please don’t copy them to any streaming services or publish them in any way.)

2022-23 Ad Sales Campaign

In past years we have printed ads in a separate advertiser booklet. This year, instead of the booklet, ads will be included in each concert program. Each program will be 8 1/2″ x 11″ which will result in minor changes to previous ad sizes.

Instead of asking our members to do in-person ad sales to local businesses, this year we are soliciting ads by mail.

A mailing to previous advertisers and potential new advertisers suggested by our members is already being prepared, but it’s not too late to reach out to other possible advertisers if you know of some good prospects. Ad orders are due by November 1.

If you have any questions about the ad sales campaign, the easiest way to contact our campaign leaders (Jill Sauser and Nancy Morse) is to send an email to ads@kentsingers.org.
